Following a service in chapel to mark the retirement of Edward Higginbottom, Director of Music at New College since 1976.

On the centenary of the death of Private James Braithwaite Bond of the 13th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment, great-great-uncle of the conductor, who died on 10th August 1917 during the Battle of Passchendaele.
